The Medina community recognizes and supports the need for a well-trained, highly skilled and experienced workforce. Our community supports a network of educational institutions whose strong foundations are embedded in our local Medina City Schools System (www.mcsoh.org). This foundation in primary and secondary training is supplemented by the following quality organizations:
Medina Works
The Medina County Workforce Development Center is located at 3721 Pearl Road, Medina, Ohio, just north of downtown Medina on State Route 42 North. In order to provide the broadest array of programs and services the Center works in partnership with a number of public and private employment and training programs and services. These services include Medina County, Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, JOG, Senior Employment, Career Centers, Secondary and Post Secondary area schools, state colleges and universities; and employers. Our Center is known as a One Stop, for the numerous services it delivers through one location. We do so in conjunction with Summit County and The Job Center.
Medina County Career Center

Many career majors provide our students access to industry-recognized certifications.
The Adult & Continuing Education department provides customized training. Full-time courses provide complete training for new careers. Part-time courses enable you to keep your resume up-to-date and provide you with opportunity to learn new skills.
University Technology Park at Medina County University Center
The Medina County University Center is an important component for workforce development in the 21st century. As a part of the University of Akron system, this facility offers programs for both 2 and 4-year degrees in areas of study that support the needs of our growing business community. Workforce Development and Continuing/Adult Education programs offer hundreds of noncredit courses, professional-development and recertification programs.
The University Technology Park, currently under construction in adjacent Lafayette Township, is a 35,000 square foot portion of MCUC. The campus will serve the educational and training needs of area residents and businesses alike. The technology park will be the home to a variety of technology research and development facilities.
