The Medina Fire Department operates with forty part time volunteer fire fighters and officers from your neighborhoods. “Neighbors helping neighbors”.
The department staffs four strategically located stations that protect the City of Medina and Montville Township. The Montville Safety Services Center is the newest station and it houses one pumper and is staffed by six firefighters. This pumper is capable of pumping fifteen hundred gallons per minute and carries one thousand gallons of water, operating in conjunction with fire station #3. When a call is received, two engines, one heavy rescue and a brush truck are dispatched, delivering a total of thirteen firefighters.
The new station has dramatically improved services to Montville Township residents by reducing response times by one half, Recruitment of skilled fire fighters who reside in the immediate area is ongoing.
