Aaron Smith Nature Preserve

This Nature Preserve is dedicated to provide, manage and maintain an outdoor living museum that fosters an understanding and appreciation of nature while building community based programs that maintain and enhance the natural diversity of the park. Austin Badger Park – 5741 River Styx Rd., Medina, OH 44256
The 252 acre Blue Heron Park property was purchased by Montville Township in 2015 via a Green Ohio Grant through the Ohio Public Works Commission to be utilized as a nature preserve, with limited active recreation, such as running, biking and walking, nature education, and picnicking in assigned areas.
Formally, the Blue Heron Golf Course, the new park has nineteen bridges and 7.5 miles of concrete walking trails that meander throughout the property. While it may be years before the entire park will be open, the area along River Styx Road was opened in 2016. It has outdoor fitness stations donated by the Cleveland Clinic and a 3.6 mile mountain bike trail donated by the Cleveland Area Mountain Bike Association. This area was named the Austin Badger Park in memory of one of Montville Township’s first Trustees and settlers. Learn more
Spokes Cafe – Montville
Spokes Cafe in Montville is located in Austin Badger Park and offers park visitors beverages and snacks.
The primary purpose of Spokes is to provide community employment opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities!
Cobblestone Park – 4765 Cobblestone Park Dr., Medina, OH 44256
Montville Township’s Cobblestone Park, which is located off of Cobblestone Park Drive, west of the Cobblestone Park Subdivision hosts four baseball diamonds, two lacrosse fields and a one mile hiking trail. The forty-seven acre park is adjacent to Ralph E. Waite Elementary School and will soon be accessible from State Route 3 –Wooster Pike. Learn more
Whitetail Park – 4224 Deer Run Dr., Medina, OH 44256
Whitetail Park is located in the Whitetail Crossing Subdivision off of Poe Road. The park’s amenities include two soccer fields (used by the Medina Soccer Association), two basketball courts, a playground, a large lake, walking trails and a beautiful pavilion. Learn more
